This site showcases what it considers to be the best 18 newshots of the year.    I'm not sure how comprehensive they were in scouring the media BUT, I can say that the picts they've chosen are all spectactular.   Go take a look and imbibe in the pre-rational beauty of talented visual stimulation.

I'm, of course, a big Tech Romantic so it's probably no surprise that I gravitated to this one.    Other selections are big on fluffy animals, lights, and nature.
