Some Sepia Mutiny Posts

One of the reasons for my low blogging volume over here is because I'm also part of a relatively high volume group blog - Sepia Mutiny.  I generally try to send all my "desi" blogging over there while keeping focused on the rest.  Still, I figured some of you might be interested in some of the material I've posted there -

Karma Capitalism -- my take on whether it's desi-inspired Karma that makes Capitalism tick.
A Different Model Indian Minority -- the Model Minority Myth gets tossed around a LOT by folks on both sides of the aisle.    I posted about a different model minority group - West Indians - and the commmentary generated was pretty interesting (albeit, occasionally circular).

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Atlas Shrugged.   One topic I particularly enjoyed blogging about was the real life parallels between the fictional economic world portrayed by Rand and what actually happened in the Indian economy during  much of the '50s and '60s.   Fact can be stranger than Fiction.

What Aishwarya Rai's most recent L'Oreal commercials portends for Indian cultural acceptance in America

Toral Mehta was a desi contestant on last season's Apprentice.  We tracked here progress across a couple of episodes (#1 and #2) and an oh-so-memorable finale.
